PASSAGE OF THE MORPHOBLES
Living Picture Theatre
Passage of the Morphobles is an immersive visual theatre journey inspired by the archetypal Morphoble: manifestations of our archetypal patterns, that we embody in various shapes and colours. The country of these creatures is Morpholand which can be visited and experienced in abandoned, mysterious locations. Set within the landscapes surrounding Konstepidemin, the performance invites audiences to walk alongside performers embodying the Morphobles—mysterious transforming figures that blur the boundaries between human, costume and environment.
Living Picture Theatre creates and realizes contemplative visual and participatory theater performances, experiential educational programs, and live visual art works based on the artistic concepts of Zsófia Bérczi. She typically designs puppet-like, archetypal forms suitable for unfolding content – costumes, shrouds, forms, installations – and animates these to create live moving and changing images, i.e. living pictures, arranged in the space and scenery around them.
